Mamaev was given a ride on a new holiday
Today, at a joint meeting of the two Legislative Assembly committees, Deputy Sergei Mamaev presented a new bill, which he proposed to adopt in the first reading. It talks about the introduction of December 14, the Day of Soviet Power in the Vyatka province.
Mamaev noted that this holiday should be introduced to pay tribute to the memory of the Soviet government and all the good things that it brought, including in our region. However, despite his fiery speech, both committees voted against it without commenting on the decision.
After the vote, deputy Albert Bikalyuk, who has often performed in tandem with Mamayev lately, noted that he respected his initiative, but there were already too many holidays in the region and, perhaps, this was the reason for the majority of deputies to vote against. Whether there were any other reasons is unknown, as no one has voiced them.
Mamaev, annoyed by the decision of the committees, made another speech in which he reproached those present that they, who studied in Soviet educational institutions and studied history, had forgotten about her and what the Soviet government had done. "It was a great state! — Mamaev expressed his point of view. —What's going on now?" He was immediately asked to take a break due to non-compliance with the rules, but for a long time he was indignant about this.
