More than 500 Kirov apartment buildings received free annual flower seed kits from Oleg Valenchuk, ideal for our climate. Anyone who is willing to show their creativity and contribute to the improvement of the urban environment can take part in the competition. The winners will traditionally receive prizes – certificates for gardening stores.
The beautiful, well-maintained courtyard of an apartment building always evokes pleasant emotions not only among its residents, but also among those passing by. The activists of house No. 2/2 on Krasny Khimik Street are sure of this. According to Marina Sapozhnikova, chairman of the council of the house, a road runs along their house to the school stadium, kindergarten, and houses located deep in the block.
– We ourselves are pleased when we go out in the morning and come home in the evening and see beauty, not mud and puddles. The mood is rising. Therefore, in almost every entrance we have those responsible for flower beds. And in general, the house is very friendly. We all hold clean–up days together, make decisions about participating in various competitions...
The yard is not only a playground and parking, but also a place for sports, outdoor activities, and sometimes just contemplation. The inhabitants are different, it is important to strive to make everyone feel comfortable.
– In 2024, we created the House Council, and one of our first decisions was to lay out a garden. In memory," recalls Ekaterina Khlupina, Chairman of the Council of House No. 55 on Solnechnaya St.
But residents had many questions: where to place trees and flowers, how to remove concrete from the ground, who would take care of the plantings, which plants could be placed together and which could not.
- We turned to the Union of Horticulturalists of Russia, and the help exceeded all our expectations, – Ekaterina Sergeevna continues. – We were given seeds, seedlings of lilacs and apple trees. And the most amazing thing is that they offered to attend the school of horticulturist Oleg Valenchuk for free. During the course, they anticipated all our wishes: they listed the unpretentious plants that require minimal care, told us how to organize the composition and choose colors, and introduced us to other gardeners so that we could exchange plants. When it came time to move from theory to practice, many residents of our house responded: they dug the ground, broke the concrete left on the lawns by the developer, brought plants, designed and assembled small fences. Now we are all enjoying this beauty together. We really want Oleg Valenchuk's Gardening School to develop, and we are with it.
We remind you that to participate in the contest, you need to upload photos and videos of your flower beds and flower beds to the contest album and add a short description.
"The competition encourages residents to actively participate in the improvement of their yards, to work together, and to share experiences," Oleg Valenchuk notes. - This is a unique opportunity not only to decorate the territory, but also to unite neighbors, create a friendly atmosphere and improve the living environment together.
