
Kirov resident illegally caught walleye, burbot and sterlet in Fileysky backwater
The investigation department of the Kirov Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Transport has completed the investigation of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "b", "c", Part 1, Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal extraction (fishing) of aquatic biological resources".
So, in April of this year, on 677 km of the Vyatka River in the Oktyabrsky district of Kirov, transport police officers saw a man who was illegally fishing with a prohibited fishing gear during the spawning period. In the evening, a 37-year-old Kirov resident, who had previously been convicted, placed a 30-meter net on a section of the river in the Fileysky backwater. Thus, he caught fish of the burbot, walleye and sterlet breeds. The police stopped the illegal actions of the Kirov resident, and the captured fish and "nets" were seized.
By the way, the damage to the stability of the environment and the natural resource potential of the Kirov region amounted to more than 17 thousand rubles. At the moment, the case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits. By the way, the maximum penalty provided for by the sanctions of this article is imprisonment for up to two years.
