On Russia Day, an emergency class of fire danger was declared in the Kirov region.

      The Kirov Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring has warned of a high probability of wildfires in the region. According to the agency, from June 12 to June 16, an extreme (class 5) fire danger is predicted in forests in certain areas of the Kirov region.

      The information has been sent to municipalities and relevant services for prompt response and preventive measures.

      The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kirov region urges residents to be careful and reminds them of the ban on any actions that may provoke a fire.

      So, it is forbidden to make bonfires in forests and on peat bogs, burn dry grass, throw unopened cigarettes and matches, use pyrotechnics, and also enter the forest on cars or motorcycles — sparks from silencers can cause a fire. Also, oiled materials and glass bottles, which can act as lenses, should not be left in the forest.

      The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that any careless handling of fire can lead to major fires and endanger human lives, forests and settlements.

      If you have witnessed a forest fire, it is necessary to inform about it as soon as possible by phone:

      Direct line of forest protection in the Kirov region — 8-800-100-94-00 (around the clock);

      The single emergency number is 112 (toll—free);

      The helpline of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kirov region is 8 (8332) 54-01-54.

      Rescuers ask you not to be indifferent: if you notice intruders burning grass or leaving garbage in the forest, try to stop them and remind them of the danger.
