In Kirov, an emergency tree broke through the roof of an apartment building
On June 7, a poplar tree collapsed on an apartment building at 8 Krasina Street. The emergency tree broke through the roof and chimneys, and now the poplar tree may fall on the heads of passers-by along with debris and bricks.
Residents said that the tree fell from the area where another house used to be, which was demolished after the fire. The fire partially damaged the poplar tree, so it was obvious that it would fall, according to the press service of the Kirov branch of the All-Russian Popular Front.
A 70-year-old Kirov resident who lives in the house had previously appealed to the Kirov administration, as well as to the local deputy, to have the tree pruned or demolished, however, they did not respond to her appeals. The woman, along with her disabled husband, had to leave her apartment, as it is located exactly in the passage where the tree fell. So did the other residents of the second entrance. In general, the future fate of the house is in doubt.
The community added that the slate was destroyed, and water was running into the attic and apartments. The chimneys are broken, and the heating in the house is stovepipe. Smoke can enter apartments, which is dangerous. Desperate residents turned to the Popular Front for help.
Dmitry Sergeev, an expert at the organization, clarified that the house on Krasin Street was declared an emergency back in 2019. People need to live to be settled, but the Criminal Code cannot quickly remove the tree, explaining the lack of equipment. At the same time, the community was told that the poplar tree was promised to be removed tomorrow, June 12. The ONF will monitor this, however, after harvesting the tree, the roof will have to be examined, slate and chimneys will be restored, if possible. Or urgently resettle the tenants in a maneuverable fund. The public activists sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office.
