Kirov MP proposed to "link" the mortgage rate to children
UCC deputy Pavel Dorofeev proposed to reduce the mortgage rate depending on the number of children in the family. This legislative initiative has already been sent to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and in June it will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly of the region.
According to the deputy, with reference to representatives of the Central Bank of Russia, the introduction of preferential programs has not made mortgages more attractive. Dorofeev cites high housing prices and a high key interest rate as the reason. "The financial condition of Russian families does not allow them to improve their living conditions, even at the family mortgage rate of 6%," says the deputy.
Dorofeev's legislative initiative includes a set of measures. The first of these is the regressive mortgage rate for families at the birth of children. The base rate for obtaining a mortgage for officially registered families should be no more than 12%, at the birth of the first child it should decrease to 9%, the second to 6%, the third to 3%, and at the birth of the fourth child it will be reset.
The second proposed measure is government regulation of housing prices. The MP is sure that if the state is seriously concerned about the problem of demography, it should fix prices on the housing market, which will enable young families to purchase housing.
