A fetid stream flows in the center of the village of Verkhosunye

      According to the villagers, the problem started more than five years ago. From Molodezhnaya Street, where the sewage wells are located, a dark, fetid liquid flows along Sovetskaya Street. Everything is covered with mucus, and the smell is such that, according to locals, "you have to breathe through your mouth." The sewer reaches Lopatina Street, where the school and the church are located.

      According to the villagers, there had never been such problems before. The wells began to overflow after the water supply was carried out in Verkhosunye. People are sure that the sewer pipes could have been damaged then. Currently, two apartment buildings and a local medical and obstetric center are connected to these wells.

      In addition, local residents complain that the administration does not pump out wastewater in a timely manner.

      Having failed to reach a solution at the municipal level, the residents turned to the Popular Front for help.

      "We will find out the reasons. First, you need to establish on whose balance sheet these wells are located. In our practice, there have been many cases when such networks turned out to be unattended. We have already sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office," said ONF expert Dmitry Sergeev.

      The People's Front recalled that a similar situation had already occurred in Kotelnich on Tsvetochnaya Street. Then, after their intervention, the administration was obliged to take the networks on balance and start servicing them. The residents of Verkhosun hope that in their case the situation will get off the ground.
