More than 21 thousand pensioners receive extra pay for work in the village

      In the Kirov region, over 21,000 people receive an increased pension due to many years of work in agriculture. The surcharge is charged to those who have given at least 30 years to this field and lived in rural areas at the time of retirement.

      This support measure is valid for non-working pensioners. The amount of the supplement is 25% of the fixed payment to the insurance pension. In 2025, this is about 2,227 rubles per month. The amount is indexed annually.

      Professions and positions from a special list approved by the government are taken into account when calculating. This includes, for example, machine operators, tractor drivers, agronomists and veterinarians. In addition, any work experience in collective farms, state farms or agricultural cartels before 1992 is counted, regardless of position.

      Starting in 2022, the right to an additional payment remains even if the pensioner moves to the city. If a person starts working, the payment is suspended, but after dismissal it is resumed automatically.
