Thieves of railway parts detained in Kirov region

      During the operational search activities, employees of the Kirov linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport identified two residents of the Kirov region, born in 1978 and 1985, who are suspected of stealing railway property near Kotelnich station.

      It was established that the men, being employees of one of the divisions of the railway company, stole 310 kilograms of parts of the upper structure of the track. The organization suffered damage amounting to more than 5,000 rubles.

      So, the attackers, being on the territory of the station where the railway scrap was stored, stole the metal at night, manually loading it into a personal car. After that, the men handed over the stolen goods to the reception point. A criminal case was opened against the thieves on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Theft". The maximum penalty provided for by the sanctions of this article is imprisonment for up to five years.

      In addition, it turned out that one of the defendants was involved in a previously committed fraud in July last year. So, a 40-year-old employee of the organization, returning from a business trip to Nizhny Novgorod, provided an advance report to the financial department of the company, which contained untrue information about the amount of money spent on rental services. Instead of the claimed 81 thousand rubles for rental housing, the man spent 20 thousand rubles. Thus, by deception, the attacker stole money, causing damage to the organization in the amount of 61 thousand rubles.

      A criminal case has been opened against the citizen on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud".
