Birth rate has dropped significantly in the region in three years
According to the agency, the birth rate in the Kirov region in 2020 was 8.9 per 1,000 people. In 2021, it decreased slightly and amounted to 8.8 per 1,000. In 2022, the ratio was already 7.8 per 1,000 people, and in 2023 it was 7.5 per 1,000 people.
The death rate in 2020 was 17.9 per 1,000 people. In 2021, it will be 20.9 per 1,000 people. Since 2022, the coefficient has been decreasing: 16.6 in 2022 and 15.1 in 2023.
According to Kirovstat, the total fertility rate in 2020 was 1,594 per 1,000 people, in 2021 it increased slightly, reaching 1,634. And since 2022, it has fallen from 1,500 to 1,473 in 2023.
