The number of traffic violations decreased at railway crossings

      From January to April, 80 cases of violations of traffic rules by motorists were recorded at Gorky Railway crossings. This is 12% less than in the same period last year. There are 34 facts within the boundaries of the Kirov Regional Railway administration.

      So, in four months, two collisions of cars with trains occurred at crossings, in which one person was injured. In January-April of last year, nine accidents occurred, in which five people were injured.

      To prevent accidents, GZhD employees are implementing a comprehensive program to improve train safety and prevent accidents at the intersection of highways and tracks. In particular, this includes monitoring the condition of crossings, their repair, modernization and equipping with additional security systems.

      Attention is also paid to explanatory work with drivers. In four months, GZHD employees, together with the transport police, conducted more than 650 raids to identify violators. Motorists are urged to be vigilant when crossing railway tracks and to follow the rules of the road.
