Villagers in Kotelnichi district do not sleep at night due to water shortages

      Residents of Udalenskaya, Molodezhnaya and Larchenskaya streets in the village of Alexandrovsky, Kotelnichsky district, have been living on a night schedule for more than a week. During the day, a thin trickle flows from the taps, which is not even enough to operate a washing machine. People collect water for household needs at night, when the pressure in the pipes rises slightly.

      "I just don't go to bed: I pour water into all the basins and buckets. I wash the floor during the day and cook food. The machine can't wash — there's not enough pressure. Everything has to be done manually," said Yulia Dudina, a villager and mother of five children.

      According to local residents, the problems began after a winter leak in the water supply system. At that time, it did not interfere with the normal pressure, but with the arrival of spring and the increase in load, the situation deteriorated sharply. The administration of the district, where people asked for help, explained that there were no free cars and crews — everyone was involved in other settlements.

      After that, the residents turned to the Popular Front. According to traffic expert Alexei Dudin, the authorities promised to eliminate the accident by May 30.
