The construction of the Feodorovsky Temple has begun

      Today, on May 27, under the scorching sun, a stone laying ceremony was held on the Green Embankment, where the Feodorovskaya Church, one of the most famous in the region, used to stand. This centuries-old tradition is necessary in order to begin the construction of the new Feodorovsky church.

      Two priests blessed the land where the work will be carried out and said a prayer for the health and well-being of our country, people and government representatives. At the very end of the prayer service (about 10-15 people gathered), all those present were sprinkled with holy water.

      After the service, Alexey Zherdev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kirov region, came to the microphone. He told about the difficult history of the temple, which was built in 1913-1915 (designed by Ivan Charushin) and destroyed exactly 50 years later by representatives of the communist system.

      In 2007, an exact replica of the Vladimir Church was built on the site of the destroyed church in the residence of the President of Russia on Valdai.

      Unfortunately, on January 25, 2023, the church was destroyed by fire.

      Today, the construction of the new Feodorovsky church began, which will be built according to the exact drawings of the very first building. The work will be carried out exclusively with funds from donations, without using money from the regional budget.

      Vadim Fedotov, head of the Rost construction company, said that the work on this facility is not commercial and is carried out solely out of respect for the citizens and the history of our church. He also said that at the moment, donations have managed to raise the amount necessary for the construction of the foundation.

      Approximate date of construction of the temple walls (without painting) it is about 2.5 years old. Painting and installing the necessary decorations can take several months, as such works are carried out manually by craftsmen and artists.
