Four works were submitted to the competition of projects for the improvement of the ravine of the Blockage

      According to the Kirov City Hall, a total of four works were submitted to the competition, the authors of which presented their vision of the future park on a site with a total area of 10 hectares. Today, on May 23, the members of the expert commission evaluated the projects. The criteria by which the works were evaluated included the originality of the presented solution, the level of urban development, the adaptability of design solutions for different seasons, etc.

      Experts noted that each project has its own highlight, which can later be used to develop a landscaping and landscaping project. "The main thing is to preserve the unique landscape, as well as to work on high—quality lighting of the ravine territory," the experts noted when discussing the projects.

      As a result, Yana Putienko's project received the highest number of points. Anastasia Cheshuina's project took the second place, and Dmitry Nifontov's work took the third.

      "All the participants of the competition preserved the natural landscape with a lot of landscaping and offered various zoning options. So, one of the authors suggests making two-level walking paths on supports along the ravines. Another project provides for a tunnel that will connect three ravines into a single space. And in the third project there are water facilities for the recreation of citizens. Almost all projects contain modern playgrounds," said Irina Prozorova, Deputy Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture.

      The city administration noted that the authors of the projects will receive a monetary reward: 100, 70 and 30 thousand rubles, respectively, for the occupied place. And the winner will be able to participate in the further development of the concept of landscaping the ravine of the Blockage.

      Recall that the competition for the development of a project to improve the ravine of the Blockage was announced in Kirov at the end of February this year. After that, the deadline was postponed several times. Thus, the final deadline for the end of the competition was set on May 23.
