Shaman will represent Russia at Intervision

      The Intervision music competition will be held in Moscow on September 20. Since the late 1960s, it has been conducted by the European countries of the socialist camp. States from all over the world could participate in it. With the collapse of the socialist camp, the contest ceased to exist, and then Russia and other countries began to participate in Eurovision, however, in February 2023, Russia was banned from participating in this musical competition. In this regard, in February of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree on the revival of Intervision.

      This year, Russia will be represented by the country's Honored Artist Yaroslav Dronov, known under the pseudonym Shaman. Representatives from 20 more countries will compete with him: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, China, Cuba, UAE, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and South Africa.

      The competition's website states that Bolivia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Hungary, Mexico, Serbia, Slovakia and Venezuela can also participate in the competition.
