
Kirov region became the third in the ranking of the most drinking regions of Russia
According to the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Health of Russia, alcohol consumption in Russia increased by 2.4% over the year: from 8.21 liters in March 2024 to 8.41 liters in March 2025, the Parliamentary Newspaper reports, citing the press service of the department.
The Kirov Region ranks third among all Russian regions in terms of the amount of alcohol consumed. According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, in our region there are 14.28 liters of alcohol per capita (data for March 2025).
The Nenets Autonomous District ranks first in the most drinking regions of Russia (18.55 liters per capita), and the Jewish Autonomous District ranks second (14.56 liters).
Chechnya (0.13 liters per capita), Ingushetia (0.63 liters) and Dagestan (0.81 liters) were the least drinkers.
