Kirov region increases milk production
Milk production continues to grow in the Kirov region. To date, one of the key indicators is the daily milk yield per cow, which has reached 25.2 kilograms. This is half a kilogram more than in the same period last year.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, particularly high milk yields were recorded in Kumensk, Pyzhansky, Sovetsky and a number of other districts, as well as in Kirov. They receive over 27 kilograms of milk per day from one cow.
The daily volume of milk sold in the region exceeds 2.3 thousand tons. This is 3.3% more than in 2024. The leading districts in terms of sales volumes are Kumensky, Zuyevsky, Orichevsky and Nemsky.
