An investigation has begun in the Ministry of Internal Affairs into the detention of a criminal on the federal wanted list.
On April 29, in the evening in Kirov, two employees of the criminal investigation department, while carrying out measures to search for a criminal who is on the federal wanted list, saw a man who looked like him and stopped him. When the citizen heard the reason for his stop, he pushed one of the operatives away and tried to escape.
To stop the man, who, judging by his actions, could be a criminal, the police used physical force and special means against him — handcuffs. As a result, the Kirov resident received bodily injuries. After the arrest and identification, the man was released.
An investigation is currently underway into this fact, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. An assessment will be given to law enforcement officers regarding the completeness of the measures taken during the arrest of a resident of Kirov.
