Workers are shoveling sand under the cracked bridge over the Moloma

      Recall that on Thursday, April 24, it became known that after the passage of a heavy truck over the bridge over the Moloma River on the highway towards Kotelnich, the bridge cracked. Later, a video appeared showing the moment when a loaded truck passed and one of the plates shifted. Even later, the head of the region, Alexander Sokolov, named those responsible for the destruction of the bridge: truckers, after whose passage one of the plates shifted. Heavy truck drivers were detained at a roadside cafe in the village of Naimushiny in front of Kotelnich. Upon the collapse of the bridge, the regional investigative committee organized an inspection, and the governor held an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.

      The next day, on April 25, specialists from FCU Updor "Prikamye" went to the site and began a detailed examination of the bridge structures.

      Despite the fact that the news of the "collapsed bridge" immediately spread not only across the region, but also beyond, drivers traveling in the direction of Kirov — Kotelnich are warned about the impossibility of passage: at the interchange at the turn to Yurya, there is a traffic police car and traffic inspectors who attract the attention of drivers and inform them that the passage is only open. to the Moloma River. Traffic police officers told the journalist Newsler.ru that all vehicles are allowed through, but they warn you: only to the Pier, not to go further due to a cracked bridge. A full house is displayed next to the car of the State Traffic Inspectorate, which says that the passage to Kotelnich is through Sovetsk. However, the ad is printed on ordinary A4 sheets and is very difficult to read even at maximum speed reduction.The passage along the highway is blocked with concrete blocks before the start of the arrival on the bridge, about a kilometer and a half from the shore of the Moloma. By the way, we didn't see the "mass restriction" sign right in front of the bridge. He is already standing at the entrance to the building. On the way to the crack in one of the lanes, we noticed a small sinkhole in the asphalt. However, it is not known whether it is the result of the usual destruction of the road or the passage of heavily loaded trucks through this place, under which the bridge plate sank.

      The bridge fault is actually serious: the slab "fell" several tens of centimeters down. And if a person stands on a sagging slab, then the one that is still in place will be above his knees.

      The bridge, despite being closed to traffic, is quite busy for this section of the highway.: people walk along it, and under the bridge we saw workers shoveling sand out from under a support that holds a sagging slab. However, the men refused to make any comments. They only said that they were removing the sand from the support. "Perhaps they will fill this place with concrete. The commission will arrive tomorrow and will think about it. It's all tomorrow. There are no comments right now," the workers said.Despite the fact that we are far from building bridges, the question has arisen: why is the bridge support standing on sand? Moreover, in high water, the Breakwater spreads for tens of meters: the water is still at the entrance to the bridge, about a kilometer and a half before the shore begins. It is also unknown whether the concrete base of the support was filled in earlier and why it was not reinforced during the emergency restoration work of the bridge in 2022.
