When enrolling in kindergarten, migrant children will need a certificate of absence of infections.

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has prepared a draft according to which a special medical certificate may be required when enrolling children of foreign citizens in preschool educational institutions. The document, published on the official portal of draft regulatory legal acts, stipulates that migrant children must have a conclusion on the absence of infectious diseases that pose a danger to others.

Such a measure, as noted in the explanatory note to the draft, is aimed at ensuring the epidemiological safety of all kindergarten students. The obligation to provide a medical report is imposed on the parents or legal representatives of a foreign child upon admission to kindergarten.

Recall that on April 1, a new law came into force, according to which, in order to enroll migrant children in Russian schools, it is necessary to confirm the legality of their parents' stay in Russia, as well as to pass a test on the meaning of the Russian language. If the results are unsatisfactory, admission to the school will be refused.
