Kirov student trusted the "vice rector of the university" and lost 200 thousand rubles

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirov region, the "vice-rector of the educational institution for social work" contacted the Kirov student in Telegram. According to the stranger, the special services are allegedly checking students for funding for the armed forces of Ukraine, and it is necessary to follow their instructions.

Later, "Rosfinmonitoring and FSB employees" wrote to the girl in the messenger, saying that an attempt to apply for loans and transfer money abroad was allegedly registered on behalf of the student. To cancel other people's applications, she allegedly needs to get a loan herself and send the money to a "secure account." The attackers also demanded to turn on the broadcast screen, during which the girl received SMS messages from Gosuslug with transaction confirmation codes.

As a result, the student sent 200 thousand rubles according to the dictated banking details. In addition, Kirovchanka was ready to continue the transfers, but the bank blocked further operations. Later it turned out that someone was able to get into the personal account of the girl's "State Services" and request various information. According to these facts, a criminal case has been opened, and the identity of the fraudsters is being established.
