A resident of Omutninsk brutally beat a drinking companion with his feet

      On April 20, a 51-year-old resident of Omutninsk and his friend drank alcohol in an apartment building on Krivtsova St. During the feast, a verbal quarrel occurred between the comrades, during which a 51-year-old man began kicking his drinking companion on the head and body. The next day, the victim's health deteriorated sharply, and he was hospitalized in a regional hospital. However, despite the assistance provided, a resident of Omutninsk died in a medical facility on the same day.

      A criminal case was opened against the man. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim by negligence. The accused was given a preventive measure in the form of detention. At the moment, investigative actions are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to collect and consolidate the evidence base.
