The "Decorate the Motherland with flowers" contest (0+) is held every summer among residents of apartment buildings and organizations in the city. Every year more and more flower beds participate in it, and their design and execution become more and more skillful!
Absolutely everyone can take part, including children. For young Kirov residents, it can be especially pleasant to grow flower seedlings with their own hands and plant them in a flower bed. This is a great way for parents to involve their children in collaborative creative and community work.
By the way, this winter, many adult participants in previous contests received free landscaping training at the Oleg Valenchuk Horticultural School. During the training process, the flower growers created their own project. Someone got the design of a small flower bed, and someone designed the design of the whole yard. During the course, the students made edits and changes under the guidance of a mentor, and now they are starting to implement their ideas. As of today, residents of more than 300 apartment buildings, as well as dozens of organizations and institutions have already applied for and received seed kits.

Following the results of the traditional "Let's Decorate the Motherland with flowers" competition, a celebration with a rich concert and entertainment program and awarding of winners will be held in Kochurovsky Park in September. It is also planned to present the projects of the participants of the competition, a fair for the sale of garden equipment and seedlings, master classes for adults and children on creating bouquets, flower arrangements, and landscape design.
