Sokolov on the Moloma Bridge: "It can be compared to an artillery strike"

      Today, Alexander Sokolov recalled that a slab had recently sagged on the bridge over the Moloma. The reason was that the drivers ignored the restrictions on the passage of heavy trucks. At some point, according to preliminary data, there were two cars on the bridge at the same time, each of which weighed more than 120 tons, which led to its destruction. At the same time, the transportation of such cargo was not coordinated with anyone. "It can be compared to an artillery strike!" the governor commented.

      According to him, experts are currently examining the bridge, and tonight they will be able to tell what can be done and how long the repair will take. Preparatory work for the renovation is already underway.

      Sokolov also noted that residents of the Sovetsky district are concerned about this story. They are afraid that their emergency bridge over the Tansy River will also collapse if heavy trucks are sent over it. The Ministry of Transport replied that the staff of the State Traffic Inspectorate make sure that heavy trucks do not drive on this bridge, in addition, a weight and size control point is set up.
