They promise to resettle emergency houses in Kirovo-Chepetsk by September
The program of resettlement of citizens from emergency housing in Kirovo-Chepetsk will be fully completed by September. This was announced by the head of the administration Stanislav Kovalenko.
According to him, serious problems had previously arisen due to an unscrupulous contractor who was supposed to build a new house for displaced people, but could not cope with the amount of work. In this regard, the contract with the organization was terminated. The administration filed a lawsuit demanding to recover the unpaid advance payment from the contractor, as well as a fine and penalty.
The situation with the relocation of residents was taken over by the governor. Additional funds were allocated from the regional budget to resolve the problem as soon as possible. This money is used either to purchase ready-made apartments for displaced persons on the secondary market, or to pay compensation to those who choose this option. At the moment, more than 80 residents of emergency homes have signed compensation agreements. In addition, it is planned to purchase 10 apartments.
The unfinished house, which the contractor could not complete, was transferred to the ownership of Kirovo-Chepetsk. In the future, the city will be able to use this building to continue the resettlement program from emergency housing or to form a fund for office housing.
