In Russia, they want to rent apartments through the MFC

      The expert noted that the housing market in Russia is now in a "semi-legal" state. Often, people simply enter into contracts with each other that do not guarantee the protection of either party, and transfer the rent money "in any way." As a result, this leads to situations where tenants are evicted without warning, and landlords have their property stolen from their apartments. To avoid such situations, the political scientist proposed to introduce mandatory registration of residential real estate lease agreements in the MFC.

      In case of registration through the MFC, the owners will be able to promptly confirm that they rented the house to a certain person, whose data will be registered. The tenant will be able to arrange for himself a temporary registration at the place of apartment rental on the basis of a contract.

      Earlier in Russia, it was proposed to ban the purchase of housing for cash if the cost of the apartment being purchased exceeds 1 million rubles. The initiative was argued to protect citizens from fraudsters.
