      On October 6, a 35-year-old resident of the Novovyatsky district was in an apartment building on Constitution Street in Raduzhny village with his father. At some point, a quarrel broke out between them, and the man, being drunk, began to beat the 71-year-old father with his fist in the stomach, and then forcefully pushed him. The victim lost his balance and fell to the floor, however, this did not prevent his son from continuing to inflict beatings: he began to deliver multiple blows to the head with his fist, after which he strangled the pensioner.

      A criminal case was opened against a 35-year-old resident of the Novovyatsky district under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). For the period of the investigation, the accused has been given a preventive measure in the form of detention, which is currently in effect. The investigation has gathered sufficient evidence, and therefore the criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on its merits.
