According to the ministry, the number of injured people on the railway infrastructure of the Gorky highway decreased by 18% in January-March of this year.
In total, 18 people were injured on the GZhD due to their own negligence during the specified period, three of them in the Kirov region.
The ministry noted that the main causes of accidents are crossing railway tracks in front of an approaching train and electric shock injury. To reduce injuries to people on the railway infrastructure, GZhD regularly conducts preventive work: railway workers organize joint raids with law enforcement agencies, conduct explanatory conversations in educational institutions.
