The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is preparing for intensive work in the coming weekend. Preventive raids aimed at monitoring compliance with fire safety regulations will be held in the region.
Fire inspectors will pay special attention to settlements and horticultural associations. The inspections will affect the rules of breeding an open fire, which is especially important during the spring clean-up and the beginning of the picnic season.
The Agency reminds citizens of the need to comply with the established requirements. It is allowed to make bonfires and burn garbage at a distance of at least 15 meters from buildings. If a fire is started in a metal barrel, the safe distance is reduced to 7.5 meters. Barbecues and braziers should be installed no closer than five meters from buildings. It is also mandatory to have primary fire extinguishing equipment on hand and to refrain from starting a fire in windy weather.
Administrative liability is provided for violation of fire safety rules. The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will apply measures of influence to those who neglect the established norms.
