The Eternal Flame will be lit in Kotelnich for the first time
Kotelnich is preparing for a significant event — the first lighting of the Eternal Flame in the history of the city. This will happen on the eve of Victory Day at the monument to fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War, which is located on Sovetskaya Street.
Currently, work is actively underway on the memorial complex. The monument itself, erected 60 years ago, is being reconstructed. At the same time, specialists are installing the equipment necessary for the constant burning of the flame. Gorenje A concrete base has already been poured under the burner and a hundred-meter gas pipe has been laid. The burner itself and the symbolic star will be installed soon.
The work is carried out by employees of the gas services with the participation of representatives of the Popular Front. It is planned that the reconstruction and installation of the equipment will be completed by the beginning of May.
