Russian Post will provide delivery in the Kirov region despite the flood

In the Kirov region, the Russian Post has prepared to operate in the conditions of spring floods. Despite possible travel difficulties due to flooding, residents of all settlements in the region will continue to receive mail, social benefits, subscription publications and other important correspondence.

According to forecasts, more than a hundred rural settlements may be in the flood zone. The risk of temporary isolation remains for 32 post offices located in Kotelnichsky, Kirovo-Chepetsky, Luzsky, Nolinsky, Omutninsky and Yaransky districts.

To ensure smooth operation, Russian Post employees have developed detour routes in advance, including using boats, speedboats, pontoon bridges and pedestrian crossings. The mail trucks had been moved to opposite sides of the rivers in advance. Drivers and postmen have been instructed, and a supply of food and basic necessities has been created in hard-to-reach departments.

"The Post provides communication services throughout the Kirov region, including remote sparsely populated areas. During high water, we will continue to deliver mail to residents of the region, regardless of the remoteness and inaccessibility of the territory," said Anna Tolstobrova, Director of the regional department of Russian Post.
