More than 140 cubic meters of timber were removed from the Kirov region without the necessary documents

Since the beginning of the year, Rosselkhoznadzor employees have recorded a number of cases of export of coniferous forest products from the territory of the Kirov region without mandatory quarantine certificates. The total volume of such wood shipped to other regions of Russia amounted to 148.27 cubic meters.

During this period, the agency announced seven warnings about the inadmissibility of violating legislation in the field of plant quarantine. Four individual entrepreneurs and three legal entities received warnings. The non-certified timber products were intended for shipment to Tatarstan and Dagestan, as well as to the Moscow and Saratov regions.

To prevent the illegal export of timber that has not passed phytosanitary control, the Rosselkhoznadzor and the State Traffic Inspectorate are conducting raids. So, on April 10, during such a raid, the transportation of a batch of softwood lumber with a volume of 32.4 cubic meters was revealed. The cargo was traveling from Verkhoshizhemsky district to Saratov region without a quarantine certificate. On April 14, experts issued a warning to the legal entity transporting the cargo.
