The Vyatskopolyansky Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is investigating a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale. The victim, a 43-year-old resident of Vyatskiye Polyany, lost more than 2 million rubles, including the funds received on the loan.

As investigators have established, in September last year, the man began communicating on WhatsApp with an unknown person who introduced himself as an employee of the online exchange. The interlocutor assured that he would help "invest your savings in trading financial assets" and promised a quick income provided you strictly follow the instructions.

According to the instructions of the scammers, the victim installed a mobile application, allegedly intended for trading, and began transferring funds to the specified bank accounts. The imaginary profit was displayed in the personal account of the application, which further strengthened the man's confidence that he was on the right track.

From September to April, he invested all his savings and applied for loans, hoping for the promised return. However, in the end, he did not receive any payments. Realizing that he was the victim of deception, the man contacted the police. As it turned out, the application was fake and served only to create the appearance of successful trading.

Law enforcement agencies identify the perpetrators and recipients of money transfers.

The police urge citizens to remain vigilant: do not trust strangers on the Internet who promise easy income. Real stock trading requires knowledge and experience and does not guarantee profits, especially in such volumes as scammers promise.
