Kirov will meet the "Victory Train" on May 4
On May 4, 2025, at 18:45, the Victory Train (12+), a unique mobile museum dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, will arrive at Kirov station. The action is being held by the Gorky Railway as part of the 80th anniversary of Victory.
A train with samples of military equipment from 1941-1945 will travel along the entire Gorky highway from April 23 to May 6. According to the press service of the city administration, this is not just a historical exhibition - it is a real journey through time. Inside the wagons, the atmosphere of front—line life is recreated: realistic figures, authentic sounds and scenery, and in the "interactive" windows there are battle scenes, forests, fields, hospitals and camps. Each visitor is given headphones with an audio guide, where the voice of Lydia the typist, a collective image of heroic women home front workers, tells the story of each stage of the war.
During the last visits of the train to Kirov — the last time it stopped in 2023 — the exposition aroused great interest among the citizens. Volunteers were on duty at the entrance, helping to organize excursions, and the platform was decorated with photographs and quotes of war veterans.
The city administration invites all Kirov residents, including schoolchildren, participants of the SVO and their families, to take part in the solemn meeting of the "Victory Train". The exact date and time can be adjusted.
