Asphalt on the roadway will be removed at night in Kirov

      According to the city administration, repairs of the Thoroughfare will begin tonight in Kirov: the contractor will begin removing the old layer of asphalt concrete. Milling of the street will be carried out at night until 5 a.m.

      After removing the old asphalt layer, the workers will lay the leveling coating. Asphalting of the Roadway will begin approximately at the beginning of next week. As noted in the Kirov City Hall, the exact dates will depend on weather conditions.

      Work on the Roadway is planned to be carried out at night and during the daytime during a period of low traffic intensity from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

      The Kirov City Improvement Directorate reported that during the repair, reverse traffic is being organized in a lane free of special equipment on the section of the street. The order of travel will be adjusted manually.

      As noted in the city administration, the roadway will be repaired as part of the Infrastructure for Life project on the section from the old bridge to the Novomakaryevsky cemetery. The total length of repairs on this road will be 4.5 km. In addition to laying a new layer of asphalt on the Roadway, roadsides will be reinforced and sidewalks repaired.
