Wooden spoons from the Kirov region left for China
On April 7, 2025, the first batch of wooden cutlery with a total weight of 51.3 tons was shipped from the Kirov region to China. The export included semi-finished spoons, forks, knives and ice cream spatulas made of birch.
The shipment was supervised by the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and the Perm Territory. The products were checked at the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR", where they passed documentary and laboratory control. According to the research results, no quarantine pests have been identified, and the products themselves are recognized as meeting China's international phytosanitary requirements.
Based on the conclusion, three phytosanitary certificates were issued, which allowed the export of wooden products to be officially authorized.
