Kirov will host the final of the All-Russian taxi driver competition for the first time

      Kirov has been chosen as the venue for the final of the All-Russian competition "Best Taxi Driver" (0+). This will happen for the first time in the history of the competition. It is expected that the competitions will be held on the Theater Square.

      The finalists will have to pass three stages of tests. First, the participants will test their knowledge of the history and geography of Russia, the rules for transporting passengers and luggage, as well as the basics of first aid. Then the drivers will demonstrate their car driving skills on a specially prepared obstacle course.

      A creative tour will complete the competition program. In this challenge, the participants will present on stage performances telling about their native region. The format of the performance can be anything from poetry readings and theatrical skits to songs and dances.

      The winner will be determined by the jury based on the total points for all three stages. The best driver will receive the honorary title of "Best Taxi Driver in Russia — 2025" and the main prize is a new car.

      Last summer, Ilya Skurikhin, a Kirov taxi driver, took second place in the All-Russian competition "The Best Taxi Driver in Russia." The man competed with taxi drivers from 32 regions of the country, who had previously won the regional stages of the competition.

      It should be noted that Ilya Skurikhin, a taxi driver from Kirov, is taking part in this competition for the third time. He first went to the competition in 2021 and then took 25th place. "It was difficult because it was the first time. And the second time, I felt more confident and took 6th place," Ilya said.

      In 2024, participation in the All-Russian Taxi Driver Competition earned Ilya Skurikhin a prize: Kirov became the silver medalist of the competition and the second best taxi driver in Russia. The first place was won by Cheboksary representative Artur Mikhailov.
