The Ministry of Ecology has not confirmed the fact of river pollution in Yaransk

      An inspection by the Ministry of Environmental Protection was recently carried out in Yaransk. The reason for its holding was a message posted on one of the social networks, which claimed that the river was polluted by a local enterprise.

      As part of the inspection, the department's specialists examined the territory adjacent to the Angara production site. They also explored the banks of the Lamba and Yaran rivers.

      It turned out that the company specializes in woodworking, and its wastewater is sent through the local sewage system to the sewage treatment plants of the municipal water utility. There were no visual signs of river pollution directly from Angara's production activities during the inspection.

      For additional monitoring of the water condition, samples were taken from the Lamba River near the enterprise. Laboratory tests did not reveal any excess of the standards for the content of pollutants. Thus, the initial information about the pollution of the river has not been confirmed.
