Residents of the village of Lomovskaya postponed the bus stop

The city administration has changed the location of the final stop of bus No. 67, moving it one and a half kilometers from the village. Now the villagers, including schoolchildren, have to cover this distance on foot. And if they don't make it to the bus, walk five kilometers to the nearest public transport stop.

With this problem, residents of Lomovskaya turned to the regional department of the Popular Front. They said that earlier the bus went to the Metallobaza stop: the closest point to the village. Now the new destination is the "House of Students". The bus goes to the same destination only in the morning and evening. As noted by social activists, such money savings turned into inconveniences, primarily for schoolchildren, of whom about 60 people live in the village, 40 of whom study in the second shift. Now, to get to the lessons, the children need to walk one and a half kilometers along the Base Lane, where there is heavy traffic, but there are no sidewalks and street lighting. The same path is followed by first-graders, whose lessons end around noon. And if they miss the bus, they will have to walk five kilometers through the cemetery.

Local residents told the activists that not everyone has the opportunity to accompany and meet children. Olga, a resident of Lomovskaya, told the activists that she has two children.: The eldest child is in the 8th grade, the second is a future first grader. When the eldest child goes to the bus stop, the woman gets nervous: she fears for her son's life and health. Just like the other parents of the children of the village.

Many pensioners also live in Lomovskaya. There are no pharmacies or grocery stores in the village. Pensioners have to constantly travel to the city, and also travel considerable distances to get to the bus stop.

Activists of the regional department of the ONF reported that they had contacted the city administration, where they were promised that flights to the Metallobaza stop would be operated on April 9 and 10 in order to analyze passenger traffic. "But it's about the safety of children. Therefore, such dubious savings seem inappropriate to us," the ONF noted and added that they had sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office.
