A rose garden without problems and obstacles
On April 8, those who grow not only vegetables and berries on their six hundred acres gathered in the Family Recreation Center, but also strive to create a real oasis of harmony and tranquility with the scent of roses. And even if the roofs of houses and lawns are covered with snow again on this day, gardeners are sure that just a little more and spring will come into its own. This means that very soon we will have to extract flowers from under the shelter and plant newly acquired ones.
The popularity of roses is growing, and this is not surprising, because the price of seedlings is quite affordable today, slightly higher than the usual petunias. With proper care, roses can delight with their beauty for many years, and the variety of species and varieties allows every gardener to find exactly what he likes.
Miniature and groundcover roses are best grown in pots, which makes it easy to move them indoors for the winter. Climbing and stem roses require special attention to shelter during the cold season. Nikolai Baryshev, a teacher at the Horticultural School, shared with the audience his secrets on caring for roses.
Vyatka gardeners are waiting for the final lesson of this academic year on April 17 at the Cosmos Recreation Center. In the same place, all students will be able to receive seed kits from the Union of Horticulturalists of Russia.
We also remind you that on April 1, a new season of the Oleg Valenchuk Gardening School project started. Until November, regular lecturers are ready to answer any questions in the Vkontakte group.
– I sincerely congratulate all students of the School on the end of the school year and the beginning of a new gardening season! – Oleg Valenchuk, State Duma deputy and chairman of the Horticultural Union, addressed the gardeners. – I wish you good weather and hope that the knowledge you have gained will help you grow a rich harvest of organic vegetables, berries and fruits.
