
Archpriest Nikolai Klyuzhev, a minor cleric of the Yaransk diocese, has died.
The Yaransk diocese announced the death of a minor cleric, Archpriest Nikolai Klyuzhev. The clergyman died on April 7 at the age of 85.
The priest's funeral service is scheduled for April 9th. It will take place after the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Assumption Cathedral in Yaransk. The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
Archpriest Nikolai Klyuzhev was born on January 26, 1941 in the village of Russian Krai, Kirov region. He graduated from the Vyatka Theological College. In 1993, he became a deacon and then a priest. Both ordinations were performed by Archbishop Chrysanthos of Vyatka and Sloboda.
Since 1993, Father Nicholas has served as a cleric of the Assumption Cathedral in Yaransk. Over the years of his pastoral work, he has been awarded various patriarchal and episcopal awards. In particular, on December 19, 2022, Archpriest Nikolai was awarded the medal of St. Matthew Yaransky.
