The final lectures of the Oleg Valenchuk Horticultural School are being held in the regional centers of the Kirov region

      The demand for free classes for gardeners is confirmed by thousands of families in the Kirov region, who have appreciated the benefits of the program over the 15 years of the School's operation. Classes are held in two formats. These are live broadcasts with Vyatka agronomists, which everyone can join, and face-to-face meetings.

      One of these field lectures on onion cultivation was recently held in Yaransk. The lecture was conducted by Nikolay Baryshev, an experienced agronomist, an employee of a leading breeding company with many years of experience in the field of crop production. He shared with the participants the secrets of obtaining a plentiful and high-quality onion harvest, spoke about important aspects of soil preparation, the right choice of seeds and effective methods of pest and disease control.

      Nina Tarakanova, who came to the lecture from the village of Nikulyata, located 40 kilometers from Yaransk, shared her impressions.: "We plant everything randomly," she confessed, "and here they tell us how to plant wisely. I also attended online lectures in our library, but live communication and the opportunity to ask questions directly to a specialist are invaluable. They give a lot of important and useful information!".

      Her words are confirmed by other project participants. So, the final classes this year were held in Bogorodsky, Nolinsk, Kumeny and Suna. And everywhere the listeners dispersed in high spirits, ready to put all their knowledge into practice.

      – The Horticultural School's program is constantly evolving, expanding the geography of coverage and the subject of classes. We are including new topics in the course, focused on growing various vegetable, berry and fruit crops, and starting this academic year we are organizing master classes in landscape design. Our lecturers stay in touch throughout the gardening season and promptly answer questions on social media," Oleg Valenchuk noted. – Gardening school is not just an education, it is an investment in the future, contributing to the prosperity of gardening and strengthening the food security of Vyatka families, and therefore the whole country.At the end of the lesson, all students also received sets of vegetable seeds from the Union of Horticulturists of Russia. Seeds are not only a saving of the family budget at the beginning of the summer season, it is also a guarantee of obtaining a high–quality harvest. High germination and yield of seeds, according to Vyatka gardeners, has been confirmed in practice for years.
