Public services will restrict access to a number of portal sections
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation said that another innovation has been adopted to combat fraudsters: if a user's actions arouse suspicion, access to a number of sections of the user's personal account will be limited for 72 hours.
If fraudulent activity is suspected, the portal will block access to:
user's income and taxes, user
's job and pension, user's
benefits and payments
The Ministry noted that if an account is suspected to have been hacked, as before, the ability to log in to sensitive resources using Public Services will be limited, for example, it will be impossible to log in to microfinance organizations' websites or activate the Gosklyuch mobile application.
The innovation was introduced to protect users, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation noted. You can access the Public Services account only if the user provides the login information himself, for example, a text message code. If this happens and scammers take over the account, they will not be able to get the information they are interested in: the above sections will be blocked for 72 hours. After this time, access to the sections will be unblocked. If the sections are needed earlier, then you need to personally contact the service center with your passport and SNILS.
