More than 600 residents of the Kirov region have already volunteered for landscaping

      Welcome to the platform.The Russian Federation continues to recruit volunteers who will help residents of the Kirov region choose territories for landscaping under the project "Creating a comfortable urban environment" of the new national project "Infrastructure for Life".

      In the Kirov region, more than 600 people have already volunteered for landscaping. This was told at the regional resource center for the development of volunteerism. 

      — Volunteer teams have already begun to form in 54 settlements of the Kirov region, which include both silver age volunteers and our active youth from the age of 14. We are waiting for everyone to join our large and friendly family, because we understand that volunteers are doing a great and good deed for the improvement of our cities and towns," says Elizaveta Sitnikova, regional coordinator of the volunteer corps of the project "Creating a comfortable urban environment".

      Volunteers will help local residents in voting for public areas that are planned to be improved in as a matter of priority. Voting will begin at the end of April. You will be able to vote for the territory for landscaping both independently on the website or through a volunteer.

      So, last year, about 135,000 people took part in the vote for landscaping, more than half of whom made their choice with the help of volunteers.

      Last year, during the voting, volunteer Ilya Gusev from Vakhrusha helped residents of the village make a choice of territory for landscaping.

      — In Vakhrush, residents could choose from three territories: two sidewalk improvement sites and street lighting. As a result, the winner was the project for street lighting near the sidewalk on Lenin St. from house No. 2 to house No. 8 B. This year I will do these works and I am very interested to see what happens. I am very pleased that I have made efforts to improve my native village. I'll be working as a landscaping volunteer again this year," Ilya said.

      In 2025, 61 territories selected by residents last year are planned to be landscaped in the Kirov region.

      Preparations for landscaping are already underway – municipalities are concluding contracts with contractors, and work is continuing. The Regional Competence Center of the Kirovkommunproekt Institute, subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Housing of the Kirov region, helps municipalities to carry out this work.
