Kirov streets are watered and vacuumed

      The GDMS said that now the city's road services are focused on cleaning dirt and dust from Kirov's road network: contractors have brought irrigation equipment onto the roads.

      Sergey Chashchin, the head of the GDMS road construction site, said that work is underway to clean the barrier fences, and the floodplain parts of the roads are being put in order. "For this purpose, only the GDMS employs several units, which include five workers, a mini-loader and a dump truck. After manual cleaning, the site is subjected to a main vacuum cleaner for high-quality detailed refinement," Chashchin said.

      The city administration noted that during the day, road equipment works on wider streets so as not to disrupt the movement of cars. And at night — on the streets that are most heavily trafficked during the daytime.

      Currently, contractors continue to retrofit equipment for summer jobs. In the coming days, several more washing machines will be brought to the streets, and emphasis will be placed on cleaning the side stones. The Kirov Unified Dispatch Service added that 40-60 tons of street estimates are taken out from the streets of the city every day.
