The prosecutor's office of the Leninsky district of Kirov conducted an inspection of compliance with legislation on the protection of minors' rights after an accident that occurred on January 17, 2024.
The driver of a Kia Rio car hit a 14-year-old schoolgirl as she crossed the road at house No. 2 on Sovremennaya Street. As a result, the girl was injured and was hospitalized.
According to the results of the administrative investigation, the issue of compensation for moral damage has not been resolved. In this regard, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a claim to recover compensation from the owner of the car as the owner of the source of increased danger.
The court satisfied the demands of the prosecutor's office, obliging the owner of the vehicle to pay 20 thousand rubles in favor of the victim, who presented herself as her legal representative. The Leninsky District Prosecutor's Office will assume control over the execution of the court decision.
