Kirov athletes won 5 medals at All-Russian competitions

      About 1,000 young athletes from all over the country participated in the competitions, and the Kirov girls performed especially well. The U14 team (Barmina, Fominykh, Lopatkina, Ustyugova) won silver in the 4×100 m relay (53.37 s). Maria Fominykh won a bronze medal in the long jump (4.82 m). Anastasia Bratukhina (U16) became a two-time champion: in the long jump (5.54 m) and in the quad.

      Kirov boys also showed good results at track and field competitions: Mikhail Yurkin won in the projectile throw (73.98 m), and Ilya Metelev – in his age category (49.35 m). The U16 girls (Panteleeva, Valova, Styazhkina, Bratukhina) rounded out the top three in the relay (51.31 s).
