The hostel in Novovyatsk was filled with sewer flies

      A year ago, sewer butterfly flies appeared in Novovyatsk on Sovetskaya St., 64. And every month there are only more of them. They "flooded" the entire entrance — on the slope of the entrance door, on the window sills, and along the staircase.

      Residents fear that annoying insects will soon appear in their apartments, as the moths reproduce quickly — one individual lays up to 100 eggs at a time. People don't know where they came from. It is worth noting that the basement was flooded a year ago, and perhaps that's when it all started. By the way, another favorable place for flies to breed is the communal shower. Many taps no longer close due to old age, so water is constantly running there.

      There is a management company in the hostel, and residents have repeatedly asked them to carry out disinsection, but to no avail. Then desperate people turned to the Kirov branch of the All-Russian Popular Front for help. ONF expert Dmitry Sergeev said that the Criminal Code is obliged to carry out disinsection if necessary, since the service is included in the minimum list of works for the maintenance of communal property. In addition, it is necessary to identify the exact source of the appearance of flies so that they do not reappear.

      The public activists appealed to the State Housing Inspectorate, where they were promised to leave for the site today. Managerika, in turn, promises to carry out disinsection today. If the work is not completed, the ONF staff will contact the prosecutor's office.
