Sokolov commented on the departure of Russians from the Legislative Assembly

As we wrote earlier, today at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly, another issue was put on the agenda — the early termination of the powers of deputy Dmitry Russian. The chairman of the ZS, Roman Beresnev, said that he wrote the statement himself, indicating that he was leaving for family reasons.

Deputy Pavel Dorofeev commented on the news: "Of course, Dmitry Mikhailovich's decision is personal, but for me it is a worthy act when a person decided to pass the baton to a younger generation and kept his word. For me personally, Dmitry Mikhailovich is a teacher, a friend, a senior friend, to whom you can turn for help, who will not refuse. My political activity began back in 2007 with the support of Dmitry Mikhailovich, who brought me into politics. I want to wish him success and thank him for his work!"

Beresnev spoke next. He also thanked the Russians for their joint work and noted that he had been a deputy for 14 years and had become a real expert in housing and communal services, energy, industry, entrepreneurship, and social issues. Over the years, he has created 22 legislative initiatives. "Thank you so much! We are always glad to see you and are ready to cooperate further on the development of the Kirov region!" added Beresnev.

Governor Alexander Sokolov also decided to speak: "I have very contradictory feelings. On the one hand, I sincerely regret Dmitry Mikhailovich's decision. I believe that in many ways he is an example of an opposition MP who... toothy, biting. Having his own position, but always doing it not in the interests of his PR, but from the point of view of making the right decision. On the other hand, I have a lot of respect. This is from the series "the man said, the man did." I know that this position is principled and honest for Dmitry Mikhailovich. You are honest and sincere. Thank you very much."
