Kirov region to support young specialists in agriculture
The bill provides for the introduction of new state support measures to attract young professionals to the agro-industrial complex of the region. Students studying in professions in demand in the agro-industrial complex and who have signed a targeted contract with an employer will be able to receive an increased scholarship.
Young professionals under the age of 35 who are employed in agriculture will receive an annual cash allowance for the first three years of work. It also provides for a one-time payment for the purchase, construction or reconstruction of housing in rural areas, compensation for rental housing and payment for utilities during the first three years of operation.
Employers will pay benefits to students and young professionals, and they will be reimbursed up to 50% of their expenses from the regional budget. To receive support, a young specialist must get a job in their specialty within five years of graduation and sign an employment contract for at least five years. The law is expected to enter into force on January 1, 2026.
The deputies supported the initiative unanimously. Sergey Mamaev put forward a proposal to make the law work this year, because, in his opinion, it is very important.
